Cherish Every Moment

I have had a really rough past two days! I just found out that one of my close friends passed away monday. I have spent the days crying and feeling so numb to the world. I feel in my heart that she is in a better place, but I cant seem to stop crying or patch up my torn insides! I think that its even worse that I cant be there to help with anything. I am gonna try my hardest to attend her funeral this monday. I keep thinking of the countless hours we spent together and all of the memories we shared. My heart goes out to Riley, her little girl that is Lyzas age, she is gonna miss out on having such a wonderful mommy. It makes me so sad inside. All of this makes me just want to hold Lyza and Marcus and never let them go! It is a reminder to me that we need to cherish EVERY moment as if it were our last. We need to love, forgive, enjoy life, and take advantage of every moment we have here! We never know when our Heavenly Father will call us back home. Good bye for now Michele.... I will see you again, I love you!

Trip To Kirtland

We had another amazing day today! I am so enjoying spending time with my family and making new friends! We made a trip to Kirtland today with a couple we met in the ward. They are here from Idaho attending Podiatry school as well. We went to a farm and were able to see and do alot there! Lyza rode a pony... She smiled the whole time and didn't want to get off! When we come back to Mesa we will have to take her on some real rides with Lewie!

We saw a cow being milked... Very interesting to know the exact process of how it comes from them to our fridge at home! It kinda made me sad for the cows! I wanted to save them from the pump and let them go in a big pasture! I know... I am wierd! I think I should be vegan. But.... Tofu gets old after a couple months! Believe me! I know! I just try not to think about it too much or tofu here I come!

The farm also had a corn mase! It had questions at the turns to help you choose right or left... Pretty cool. The ones back home didnt have those, you just had to guess!

We put our heads in these picture boards! They made for a good laugh... Lyza hated being the pig but loved being the scarecrow! She is so funny!

We saw so may other animals.. I love them! It made me happy to see that Lyza loved them just as much! I always have this dream of having land in Hawaii with tons of animals! Maybe someday! Marcus always laughs and says "probably not in this life"... But it will happen! Positive thoughts right? Our favorites were the giant percheron horses, the crazy goat that wanted to eat Lyza, and the cute little piglets! I snached one right up and held it... Even though I knew it was probably not allowed! I couldn't help myself! Look how cute it was!

After all the fun at the farm we went to see the Kirtland Temple. It was so neat! There was definately a peaceful feeling there. There is a museum in the visitors center too. It was neat thinking how much the early saints sacrificed for this place, and actually being able to see the Temple they worked sooo hard building gave me goosebumps!

Beach??? In Ohio!!!!

We went to the beach today! Well Lake Earie beach that is.. At least we dont have to worry about sharks here, right? We had a blast. A couple other podiatry students, their families, and some others from the ward invited us. I was suprised that it really looked like the ocean. There were little waves and lots of sand, with seagulls too! Or would they be called lakegulls? Hahaha!

Lyza had a great time playing in the sand!

She didn't eat any sand this time! I was glad she got over that in California!

Here is Marcus and Lyza... They scare me to death sometimes.... But they sure do have fun!

New Favorite Activity....

Today we went to the Metro Park.... It was sooooo much fun! We rode our bikes there, and it is only a few blocks away. It is a huge reservation for all the wild life. There are benches and swings by the stream, leading into what feels like a forest with little pathways you can walk or ride bikes. We saw seven deer! Five of them were little speckled babies! It was so fun to sit and watch them.... They wag their tails like little puppys when they get excited, and they hop like bunnies too. Lyza especially liked the duck. She chased them around with her little arms out like she was going to catch them. I just had a huge smile almost the whole time we were there. I was glad to see that Marcus and Lyza were enjoying themselves as much as I did. We had a great time today on our little bike ride.

We Made It In One Piece

We are now in Parma Ohio, just south of Cleveland. Marcus, Micah, and Rich drove the Jeep towing the 6x12 trailor all the way here! It took them almost 3 days, and they didnt stop much... Only to sleep, eat, and get gas! I am so grateful I didn't have to make that drive! I was fortunate enough to fly with Lyza and the dogs, although we had a 2 hour delay and had to change planes because they couldn't fix ours, we all made it safe and sound! I haven't had time to slow down to take any pictures, but I will post some as soon as I get a second! Well we have almost all of our boxes unpacked, and we have bought a new dining room table and a matress! We have been searching for the perfect couch, and hope we find it soon because the floor isn't fun to sit on! We miss the comfort of Mesa already, but we are settling in and it is starting to feel more like home. We went to church today and the people were very nice and made us feel welcome. We even have had neighbors bring us cookies! I am excited to become more familiar to the area and meet some new friends.
