Today we are feeling so blessed, we have so much to be thankful for!

* We have all made it home safely from a horrible car accident.

* Our dog Tilly was found today after being lost for 3 days in the freezing cold.

* We have Teresa here helping us recover

* We have so many wonderful family and friends sending love

There is so much more.... We are just feeling so blessed and thankful to the Lord for protecting us and sending us home safely. I couldn't feel more loved right now.

The truck in front of us (we were told) lost control of their vehicle and hit the median then we hit it when it was sideways on the freeway coming toward us. Their car was on fire and Marcus pulled one of the men from the truck. A total of 6 people in both cars. We all made it!

Halloween

This year I didnt ask the girls what they wanted to be. I figured this is one of the last years I can choose and make them a matching pair. So while they wont care to be matching or have a strong opinion on this matter, I am taking advantage! The girls are little bo peep and a sheep! I made their costumes this year, and swore a thousand times i would never do it again.... We will wait and see next year what happens. Lyza loved wearing her costume to school, the church trunk or treat and for trick or treating! Cyndal loved her tail most of all. She would flop it back and forth saying "floop, floop, floop!" After a while she wasnt as excited, she just wanted to eat the candy. Watching the girls trick or treat was so cute. Lyza was cute teaching Cyndal what to do, and then was on a mission to go as fast as she could. Cyndal tried to keep up for a while, but then gave up and just wanted to eat that candy. The cutest thing was when she said "trick or treat, I a sheep" every time we went to a new stop. I love these girls! They melt my heart... I even was able to get Marcus to wear the traditional candy corn hat! He complains every year, maybe next year I will make him a costume so he wont complain about the hat anymore!

Pumpkins and Cookies

Every year we try and carry on the Yetter family tradition and frost Halloween cookies then deliver them to neighbors. The girls as always had a blast and ate more decorations than went on the cookies. Marcus had to make "THE" cookie... As for me, I tried to keep the mess minimal and made the only normal looking cookies! Pumpkins were fun too! Lyza and Cyndal weren't scared of getting messy this year. They dug right in and even helped with the carving. Lyza wanted a sad pumpkin (I am not sure why), and Cyndal wanted a happy one.

Circus

The circus was in town this week and I was so excited to take the girls! After being timed out a million times on the ticket page we finally secured tickets to the show! We didnt tell the girls we were going, and kept it a surprise. The girls were so excited when we walked into the arena! Their faces were priceless, and it was great to feel like a kid again! Lyza said "When I grow big Mama I want to live at the circus!" Cyndal didnt say much of anything, she watched in amazement, ate lots of liquorice, and loved the elephants. I loved the torrez family motorcycle event, its so amazing how they ride all of those motorcycles in that little 8 foot ball! Marcus didnt really have a favorite, but I think he liked watching our girls excitement the most. He enjoyed watching the tight rope walkers fall too, not something you see too often!

Cyndal lately!

Is it that time already? I feel like Cyndal has grown up so fast! She is talking so much, and I feel like it has happened all over the past month! She tries to say or mimic everything, but most of all already asking.... WHY? We will tell her something and the reply is WHY? Its crazy to think she is already to this point! She understands everything and is always copying her big sister. If Lyza asks for something, Cyndal is right behind saying, "Mee too!" I love love her! Another thing she says thats so cute is " Ya I do" If we ask her if she wants something most of the time thats her reply. Dont get me wrong she has the "no" word down pat! She cracks me up with how daring and care free she is, how she is so frugal with her kisses, how she is so sensitive to others feelings already, and most of all how she makes my heart melt when she says "Laa you mama!" (Love you mama) She has been facinated with her baby dolls lately. She carries a pink one around constantly loving, feeding, and diapering it. Today she climbed out of the bath to get her and brought her back to the bath. Nothing the dryer wont fix right? Oh one more thing! Next time you see her ask her "Who is cute?" She will say, "Me me me me!" She really is too, and not afraid to admit it!

Lyza's 4th Birthday!

Marcus and I are keeping the balloons a tradition, since Lyza enjoyed them so much last year. We stayed up last night blowing up hundreds of balloons for Lyzas special morning. This year she said " I love my birthday, and all my balloons" when she woke up. We went downstairs and opened her presents. Her big present this year was her big girl bike! She was super excited, but then asked if she could go up and play with her balloons! We also had a birthday party for her at an indoor pool. She was extremely spoiled by all her 21 friends that came! Loads and loads of presents! We had pizza and cupcakes with a underwater fish theme. Lyza loved her party but most of all loved playing in the pool with all of her friends. All the kids left with a pair of sandals, the girls were pink decorated with cute ribbon and the boys were cute army print. Lyza and Cyndal crashed in the car on the way home, but when we put them in bed Lyza commented that she was so excited she got to sleep with all her birthday balloons! What a exciting day, I am excited Lyza is growing and learning so much. It is truly a blessing to be her Mother, she brings me so much joy and teaches me so much. I just wish time would slow down a little! I swear just yesterday I was rocking and holding her little 7 pound body in my arms!

Beach Day

We made a trip to the beach today. The kids had a blast playing in the sand and water. We gave Lyza and Crew mermaid tails and Cyndal had fun making hats out of buckets. Jenny and I tried to relax but spent most of the day chasing kids and wiping faces full of sand. We had a great day and have been enjoying our time out here! Jenny is teaching me some of her yummy cooking recipes and hilarious caterpillar workouts at the gym! I love having this opportunity to have some much needed girl time!

Well we made it! I rented a car and drove 6 hours with the kids to Pasadena California. They did well at times and not so well at times, but he most important thing is that we are here safe and sound! It is great to see Jenny, its been a while but we always pick up where we left off. Her boys Crew and Hudson aren't much younger than lyza and Cyndal so I know they will have fun! We have just been settling in and look at them already!

We ended up making a late night run for a new blow up mattress, I guess the kids had too much fun!

Time with Daddy

We went to Aunt Angela's to visit the new Rosie today. The kids had so much fun playing with all the new baby chicks! I have to rewind and tell you the story when went to visit Lyzas Rosie she caught at the rodeo. A friend was kind enough to give her a home since her little girl cought a chick too. We promised Lyza we would visit often and when we did Lyza was hysterical! Rosie had grown, she was bigger with real feathers and Lyza hated it! She was sooooo upset! So Marcus and I took her to the feed barn to visit some baby chicks. She was still unsettled, because they weren't her Rosie! Well long story short Aunt Angela bought some chicks for her new coup and named one Rosie for Lyza. So it being Marcus last day of the weekend before he left for Tucson we took Lyza to see her! She was on cloud 9, loved every second of being there. Then we went to the park, played on the slides and spent time with Daddy. It was sad to see him go for another week this time because we weren't going to see him for two! We are going to California to see one of my best friends I haven't seen in ages. I cant wait, but we will miss Dad!

Easter Weekend

Before Marcus went to Tucson for the week we were able to go see the Easter Pageant together. I love going, even though I have had the opportunity to go often in the past, it still brings me to tears every time. There is nothing better than having a renewed and mind refreshing testimony building experience. On Saturday we had a party with the White family. It was fun to see everyone, enjoy good food (Grandmas orange slush and black-eyed pees are Marcus' favorite), watch and help the kids with the egg hunt, and also participate in the famous money egg! That evening Lyza left the Easter bunny some carrots so he would not forget to come to our house. On Sunday morning we had so much fun watching the girls open their Easter baskets. Cyndal was most excited about her bubbles ( the awesome no spill ones of course with this girl), and Lyza wanted to get her water hose open to play with as soon as she saw it. After opening baskets we all snuggled up to watch conference. It was such a wonderful weekend spent together to celebrate a magnificent holiday.

Hunting with Daddy

The first hunting expedition; I am not to sure how I feel about it.... Marcus took Lyza hunting outside last night. For squirpions! I am terrified of these ugly little bugs, so part of me thinks they should not be alive anyway. The other part of me aches at the thought of Lyza seeing her dad enjoying taking life from something.... This is one area Marcus and I have to avoid talking about! Lyza seemed to enjoy time with daddy so I didn't say anything....

The second hunting expedition was more pleasing to me, and I think more fun for Lyza. They went into the groves to hunt for lizards. This time it was to catch, not kill. Thank goodness! Marcus and Lyza brought home "Larry the lizard". Lyza and Cyndal had hours of fun playing with him. He was so friendly and just hung out on their shirts as they paraded around with him. Lyza got a kick out of Larry curling around her thumbs up!

Water Fun

We have been outside a lot these past few weeks. Its been tons of fun watching Lyza's love for water grow. Cyndal on the other hand is surprisingly cautious, there's not a lot she is reserved about. Either way its so much fun watching them so happy outside. I know I am excited to be outside in the sun after a long Ohio winter!

Train Park

We went to the train park with Aunt Amy today. The kids had so much fun with their cousins! Lyza and Rhett played so well, and loved to ride on the merry-go-round and the train. So needless to say, we went a lot of times! Cyndal was scared to sit on the merry-go-round alone so I sat with her! I bet it was a funny sight to see, but we had fun. We ate lunch and headed for the play ground. I must admit I was probably the most paranoid out of all the parents! There were so many kids if I took my eyes off one of mine it took a minute to find them again. So I had a few scares! One time I found Cyndal all the way across the park walking around, and the other time I found her happily holding a strangers hand! She scares the crap out of me! I am terrified she will be stolen because she is fearless and so happy!

Happy 28th Big Sis

I cant believe we are this old! I threw my sister Jacquelyn a party since we were in town. I made her favorite dinner; broccoli and cheese soup with bread bowls and salad for dinner. We also had cake and ice cream for dessert. I found it so funny to put all 28 candles on the cake and I told her it looked like the cake was on fire! She didnt find it as funny as I did. In all reality mine would look very similar with only two less! It was so fun to have an excuse to get the family together. It seems like yesterday when we had no cares in the world playing with our barbies and dressing up our little brother in my clothes! Time is a crazy thing.

Grandpa White

Grandpa is known by everyone for his harmonica. He carries one with him all the time, and plays for the kids. They all are always mesmerized by it, and by him. Lyza has a special fondness for Grandpa, that has rubbed off onto Cyndal. I love watching my kids with him you can tell they share a special bond. Last time we came to town Lyza asked where Grandpa was. We said right there and pointed to Grandpa Rich and Lyza said, "No, the White one" referring to Grandpa White.

Lyza had green eggs and green milk for breakfast, Cyndal was a little unsure! Then we were invited to a party at the park! There was a leprechaun treasure hunt for the kids! They had so much fun following the clues to find the treasure box full of candy!

This week the girls and I are turtle-sitting! Aunt Angela and her family are on vacation, so we are watching Blakes pet turtle! The cutest little thing ever! The girls have a hard time letting him get some exercise in the sun, they just want to hold him! Its so easy to get the girls in the car to go take care of him, but so hard to get them back in the car to leave! We usually have crocodile tears, and wailing arms! He sure is cute!

Another week has passed. Marcus is enjoying his time externing at the hospital in Phoenix, but we haven't seen much of him. He leaves before we get up and gets home around dinner time. We eat, spend a little time, get the kids in bed, Marcus has to read and prepare his presentation, so I craft, and then comes another day! The girls and I have been enjoying family and the weather! Its been really nice. But week two has come and gone! We headed up to the Cabin in Pine Top for some boarding and some time by the lake! It was so beautiful!

Lehi Rodeo

We are so excited that we will be here for the Lehi Days Rodeo again this year. We went every year growing up, and Lyza enjoyed it so much last year we jumped at the chance to go this year. The girls loved the petting zoo. Cyndal wanted to kiss everything, kinda gross and cute at the same time. We had bbq lunch that is so yummy every year, and then headed to the stands to watch the events. Lyza loved the Drill team, she commented on the pretty designs they painted on the horses, and said she was going to do that when she was big enough. During the rodeo several times Lyza said "This day is the best day ever Mama! I love the rodeo". This was even before the chicken chase! When it came time to do the chicken chase, Lyza was confident she was going to catch another chick. Marcus and I kept trying to prepare her for not catching one, whats the chance of her catching one two years in a row.... Well she did, and she was so excited! She kept saying "I told you I would, I just ran and snatched it right up!" Lyza named her Rosie.

I have so many feelings about the next couple months... We are going to be in Arizona the next 2 months for Marcus' externships. I am excited to get out of the snowy weather, but not excited to be away that long. March we will be staying at Grandma Teresa's while Marcus attends the Phoenix V.A. Then in April the girls and I will be nomads and travel while Marcus goes down to Tucson for his externship there. Here we go this should be exciting!

Lost in time I guess!

It has been forever since I posted. The past 6 months hasn't been my fondest memories but I wish I would have still posted. We have been through a whirlwind of bad events and Lyzas bladder infections that I wont even get into! To make a long story short, one misfortune after another. Lessons learned ( I hope) and time to move forward.

Whats new with Lyza girl
She has been saying some of the funniest things, and sometimes most embarrassing things ever!
Example1:
We were at Sams club checking out. I noticed Lyza was being quiet... You know when kids are quiet, it makes your stomach kinda drop and you wonder whats wrong? Well usually I would find a mess, but this time I saw Lyza staring intently at the cashier, and the following happened so quickly. Lyza looked worried and said "Oh my gosh, one of your tooths are missing!" I quickly glanced at our cashier and her smile vanished and her lips closed. I felt so horrible, she wasn't really missing a tooth but had a rather large gap between her two front teeth. I didnt know what to say, all I said was " Lyza, sometimes its not so nice to say things like that." The end, uncomfortable quiet the rest of the time! Ahhhh! I know there will be plenty more times I am embarrased by things my kids say, I just wish I could think of something better to say when they do.

Example 2:
Lyza and I were on our way to her preschool. She out of the blue says;
Lyza: "Mom, I cant wait to be big like you so I can paint my own fingernails and toenails."
Me: "I can because I will be really old like a grandma, so stay little for a long time!"
Lyza: In her giggly voice " Ya, then you will have gray hair like Grandma Daisy! Hehehe!"
Me: "Oh man! Thats why you have to stay little forever!"
Lyza: " Oh Mom, its ok you will still be beautiful, and I will still love you, and you can still live with me ok?"
Me: "Ok, Lyza as long as you say so"
Lyza: "Ya then you can have hair like Grandma Daisy ok!"

This made me laugh because she was so set on me having hair like Grandma Daisy! She could tell I wasnt so excited and tried to comfort me. It was pretty funny and cute how funny she thought the idea was, but then how she tried to make me ok with it. I love this Girl!

Whats new with Cyndal Marie-re
She is the funniest little thing ever! I am always laughing at something she is doing! She is constanly getting into something or following her big sister around. Her favorite things right now; to get into the tupperware and wear it on her head like a hat She thinks it is so funny. She usually comes to find me and strikes a pose. She loves her apples, she'll eat them right down to the core too. She also loves to dance, whenever she hears music she busts out a new move. She is still so squishy! I still love to squeeze her little thighs! I just love her to pieces! Although I am paying a price of karma with her lately. A couple months ago I would laugh because she would call Marcus and I both Mama. Well now, she calls us both Dada! No matter what I do she just laughs and calls me Dada. Serves me right, I shouldn't have laughed! Cyndal is pretty frugal with her loves, but when she gets in trouble she isnt! If she is getting into something or if she hits we will tell her "No, no,no" in a firm voice. She stops in her tracks and runs to give you a hug and kiss then usually smiles and goes about her buisness. Halarious! She knows already we cant be mad when she is so sweet!

First Day of Pre-School

Lyza had her first day of pre-school today! It was so fun to see her emotions and be with her for her first school experience. Last night we put braids in her hair because she wanted her hair to be "curly". She probably slept better than I did with the excitement of the big morning ahead of us. We got ready for the morning, and kissed Dad and Cyndal good-bye and headed off to school. As we talked I explained to Lyza that I only got to go with the first 2 days, then she got to go by herself next week. She didnt really seem to mind about that, she just wanted to bring Cyndal with her. "Mom Cyndal Marie-re will be all by herself, what will she do when I am at school?" Saying as if the world would stop without her there, Lyza seemed very genuinely concerned for Cyndal. I thought it was so cute to see her concerned about her sister, especially because they aggravate each other so much. We took some pictures outside just before going in. Lyza's feet turned into cement as we walked in the door, she wouldn't take one more step. I think it was then all the excitement wore off. She looked up at me and said, "Mom I am nervous!" I dont remember exactly how I explained to her that everyone else was nervous too, but she finally walked in behind me. I dont think she took her eyes off me once, but she had a good time painting, making a sunshine plate, and having story time. Her teachers are so nice and I am positive she will love her school! I am so excited for her!

Today was not just any ordinary day. It was one of those pull your hair out, and bite your lip sort of days! Little miss Lyza was more than a hand full today. She was pushing every limit and pulling every string! I have to admit I wasn't as patient as I would have liked to have been. Toward the end of the day Lyza asked me "Mommy where is your happy face?" I replied with a smile," Right here sweetie". Then with a sweet but sort of sassy voice she said, "Well good, will you keep it on?" I kept smiling, but had a mix of emotions swirl through me. Geesh, am I really that grumpy? How sad! I feel so guilty for not being very patient! Am I a mean mom? How should I take that comment? Is she just being sweet or was that meant to be a little sassy? Goodness, all I know is I cant wait for Marcus to be home! I am going insane! At the end of the day, I still cant stop thinking about that comment Lyza made to me... Keep that smile on.... I hope tomorrow I will have feathers like a duck and I wont let things bother me so much. I hope I can be a better more patient Mom, and keep a smile! Thanks little Lyza for teaching Mommy something today.

Well Marcus has been back to school for about two weeks now. Studying for boards and taking two summer school classes. We already miss him to pieces! Today we were able to get him home earlier for dinner because I had some late appointments. While I was down doing some hair Lyza sneaked away from Marcus' watch and decided to come "make lightening". She started to flicker the light switch on and off from upstairs... So there was not much I could do about it! She thought it was halarious and giggled while she was "making lightning". I have no clue where she heard that or even how she came up with it, but it was pretty funny the first couple times. I LOVE this girl! Cyndal is now officially into EVERYTHING! I try to do the dishes, she is in the dishwasher! I try to eat, where is Cyndal you ask? Trying to grab the plate or everything on the plate. She also has the pinching thing down so I have to vacuum alot! I have to say little "Rere" is very curious and will find a way to get into whatever she wants with a big grin of satisfaction! Its very okay though, her innocents, gummy smile, and slobbery kisses well makes up for her mischief!

Today was a great day, sunny and warm! Days like these have been few and far between so when we have them I feel all giddy inside. We started off the day finishing the cleaning project we started last night. I bought a huge blow up bouncer for dirt cheap on craigslist that I thought we could use at Lyza's birthday party. There was one major catch, it was bug infested and so dirty! I mean filthy, grimy, left outside all winter and spring dirty... When I saw it I almost left, I couldn't even count how many potato bugs and centipedes there were and it smelt funny too. But I wrapped it up in a tarp and headed home. Marcus and I pressure washed it and left it to soak in a baby pool of clorox water over night. This morning we couldn't believe the power of clorox! It was awesome, after a rinse and drying it looks great! Lyza even got in a bounced around. She loved it and I am so excited for her party, the kids will love it. We ran some errands and played some tennis then returned home for dinner. Lyza's room was still hidden under all the balloons, so i suggested popping some. She was mad about the idea and insisted against it. When I came in with a needle she decided to give it a try, and she loved it! She is so funny, she sat and coaxed the balloons toward her saying, "Come here little buddy" or "Come here little girl" for the pink and orange ones and "Come here little boy" for the blue and red ones. Then she would rub them, and kiss some of them, and then poke! She didnt even jump, and sometimes she would let out a little giggle then coax the next over for "their surgery". I guess we have been watching too much House... I love this little girl! She is getting so big too quick, but I love that she is so aware and full of things to say to keep me on my toes! Oh Lyza, got to love her!

Today was Marcus' last final! Hallelujah!! I didn't think this day would ever get here! This morning we had Lyza's Kindermusik class, so we took cupcakes and lolly pops. Lyza was grinning ear to ear when everyone sang to her, then she so proudly helped me hand out the goodies. I think she will think birthdays will be a weekly thing because we are having birthday things on 3 different days. That's OK though, I love to celebrate it just as much as she has.

Lyza's Birthday! It all started late last night. We stayed up late and pumped up 150 balloons and sneaked them into Lyza's room while she was sleeping. She woke up bright and early (6am) and said," I am smiling, because I am happy for my balloons!" She is so funny! She loved them, and she spent a while playing in them and then hiding with daddy underneath them. I hope this can be a yearly tradition in our family, I think it made her feel super special. We then went downstairs to open all of her gifts. She loved all her presents and cards. I think she was super spoiled by all our family too! Lots of great gifts! She loved all the phone calls and told everyone about her room full of balloons. We took pizza to Marcus' school and had dinner with him there, and then we left to let him study and we came home and made cupcakes. Lyza was thrilled to help and was so excited about her cupcakes!

Today Cyndal started clapping! I love watching her progress and be so happy for it! There is still a piece inside me that wishes that these things wouldn't happen yet. That I could just preserve her and keep her my baby forever. At the same time I couldn't be happier seeing her progress, kind of bitter sweet. I just love her sweetness and happy spirit she brings into our lives. I love her huge open mouthed smile that is so contageous, and the way she waves her hands and hicks her feet every time I walk into the room. There is just this piece in my being that cant get enough of her. It still amazes me how much a parent can love their children. My heart aches at the thought of being away from them! Its like an addiction! I don't know what I will do when they grow up and move away! My heart will surely go too. I am glad I don't have to think about that for a while!

Lyza also had a shining moment today. She came into my room with her shoes on the wrong feet. I laughed and let her know. She looked a little confused and looked down, looked back up at me, then looked down again. I could just see the wheels turning, then she crossed her legs and looked back up and then said "there, is that better mama?" Gotta love this girl, and her abstract way of thinking. She will grow up and be a artist of some sort for sure. I let her know that didn't work, and that she needed to take her shoes off and change feet. She seemed a ittle discouraged but agreed to change shoes...

I loved my Mothers Day! It all began with a surprise date night last night! Marcus managed to get a babysitter and make dinner reservations at my favorite restaurant in the mist of finals! I felt like such a lucky girl, but it didn't end there! I woke up to breakfast in bed, my favorite breakfast I might add, biscuits and gravy with orange juice! I was even able to shower alone uninterrupted! Ahh, one of the little things I never would have thought I would miss! Marcus also got the girls mostly ready for church! This was already more than I could have asked for, but then Marcus and the girls surprised me with a beautiful corsage to wear to church. I am so impressed at the thought Marcus put into making this day so great for me. I am so grateful for such a wonderful hubby and the most beautiful, sweet daughters in the world! I felt overly, extremely blessed today! And I loved every second of it too!

Today has been a long week, Marcus is in the middle of his finals and I think they will NEVER end! I cant wait for them to be over and be back to normal life! Today we went to the house friend of mine, Lara Ellingson, and she helped me can a bunch of food. I am trying to build our food storage and she was so awesome to help! We canned chicken, almonds, blueberries, craisons, and chocolate chips. I am excited to have so much done!

Today also is a very special day for Cyndal... She learned to crawl! I loved watching her, she was so slow and cautious with her robotic movements and a huge smile! It was so satisfying to see her so proud of herself. I cant believe we are already to this milestone. Time wont stop going by faster everyday.

Finger Paints

Lyza got some finger paint in her Easter basket and has been begging me since to paint, so we broke out the paint while Cyndal was napping. We both had a blast and I cant wait to make a framed project with her art. Lyza was so cute when I was explaining that the paint was messy so we needed to watch where we were touching and not to wipe on our clothes. She was quiet and listened and when I was done she ran in and got her apron and was ready to go. I love how she actually listens and understands and puts a plan together without me having to ask. Its a great age, and I find that as she passes through stages there are good and bad. I miss the things she was doing but also think its great for the new things she figures out and new things she starts doing. I miss that she doesn't always sleep with her hand inside her armpit anymore, and the way she used to wake up in the morning saying "See-we-al" in this sad voice like her stomach was eating its self, and I miss the way she used to say Cyndals name (Fyndal). Now she has moved on to new things that I am sure I will miss when she stops.

Easter

We received a package from Grandma Teresa that the girls had a blast opening earlier in the week. It was nice to get into the spirit of Easter early this year. It makes the holiday last more than one day. We had some friends invite us over for brunch and an easter egg hunt Saturday. We had such a nice time being outside for once! Lyza and Cyndal looked so cute with their bunny ears and their baskets in hand. I think they both enjoyed the hunt. Lyza learned the art of trading candy with her friend and enjoyed it so much they both disappeared and were found sitting trading their candy back and forth. It was pretty funny to watch. Sunday we had the girls open their baskets early and then we had a wonderful meeting at church. It was a beautiful meeting and we enjoyed being brought back to the true meaning of Easter. I am so grateful for this season and holiday we have to remind of of the sacrifice Christ made for us.

Fishing Excursions

We have been fishing a hand full of times the past couple weeks. I was secretly hoping Marcus would catch lots of steelhead so his need would be filled,and we could do other things with our spare time. Instead we caught lots of sucker fish. It made things more interesting and I guess its better than nothing, but it kept us going back frequently in pursuit of the steelhead trout. I am now grateful that he didn't catch the steelhead because we wouldn't have gone back as frequently. Well maybe we would have, but I am grateful for the time we spent together there at the river. It started the bedtime stories for "Marvin the fish" that Lyza beggs for everynight before bed. I know it sounds silly, but I know Marcus and Lyza have so much fun making up adventures for Marvin the fish and I also secretly like listening to them as well!

Can this really be true? As I was waiting for the dogs to potty I spotted this!!! There are really little blooms on the bush outside our house! I cant wait for spring, it is for sure the happiest time. Waiting and watching things come back to life!!! It truly fills my whole being with joy!

I cant believe my baby Cyndal Marie (Findle "Re-Re") Lyza calls her, is already 6 months old!!! Time plays cruel tricks on us! I feel like I just had her yesterday. Our good friend, Lara Ellingson took some pictures of Cyndal the other day. I have always been told that she resembles me more so than Marcus, but after seeing these pictures I couldn't believe how she has Marcus' expressions down pat! It kinda freaks me out that they can make the same exact face! Cyndal has been the BEST baby ever! We have had so many people tell us that too, so I know it is not just us thinking so. She is also so squeezeable, being 18 pounds at 6 months you would love to squeeze her too! Cyndal is the sweetest girl that thinks her big sister is the funniest thing in the whole world. No one can make her laugh like Lyza can. I think my favorite thing is to see her face light up when she sees her big sister. We are so blessed to have Cyndal in our family, she bring s us so much joy and lots of smiles!

Remembering Grandpa Gerald

After my Grandpa passed away I took his shirts to make my Grandma a quilt for her bed. I thought a lot about how I would piece it and what other fabrics I would use. I decided on a pinwheel pattern and to do all the other fabric white. I also did a small border around the large 4 pinwheels made with the pearly button snaps. I had Maureen Ellsworth quilt it and she did an amazing job! I was so happy with how it turned out. I was thrilled that I was able to give it to my Grandma in person, but also sad to be giving it away... Is that weird? As I was making it I got really attached... Grandma seemed to like it and I am happy she will have memories to sleep with. Hopefully this can be of some comfort to her. Anyway, one more project down, and on to the next!

Az Spring Break

Marcus had spring break last week. We weren't planning on going anywhere, but 3 days before his break he decided we were going to Az! I was excited, but also stressed... So much to do before we go! I am a freak about the house being clean, all my errands out of the way, the fridge emptied, the laundry done, and so forth before hand. I would hate to come home to a smelly germy house! We finally got everything done and off we went. Lyza was so excited to go to "Air-e-zone-ia" and go on the airplane with Daddy! It was a better deal for them to fly on delta, then Cyndal and I flew on Southwest. A lot of our family didn't even know we were coming, so it was lots of fun to surprise them! We had a whole agenda of things to do while we were there... Family to see, doctor appointments, #3 surgery for Marcus, fix the bosh, finish grandmas quilt, go to the Temple, get a haircut, go to all our favorite restaurants, see our friends, get a pedicure, do Grandmas hair.... Oh gosh, the list went on and on, no joke! We felt like most of the time we were trying to get so much done, but looking back we did have a lot of fun! I wish I would have taken more pictures though! We were able to go to the Lehi Days rodeo, and Lyza even caught a chicken in the chicken chase! She named her peep... I did end up finishing my grandmas quilt and I was able to give it to her in person which was so special to me! I spent countless hours making that thing! It was so great to see all our families back home and we were so sad to leave, but it was also great to come home to a clean house!

I did it!

I cut my hair, and donated it. I have been wanting to do it for a while, since it is probably the last time it would be long enough and not colored. Why not? It went to a girl like this... Who wouldn't do it? I figure I would want someone to donate their hair if Lyza didnt have any. There are times I do miss it, but I do love that it takes me 10 min to do it, and there is a lot less hair to pick out of the drain and the bathroom floor!

Cyndal has now sitting up on her own for 2 weeks. She gets so excited, she starts waving her arms and kicks her feet until she looses balance from the excitement. You can see it in her eyes that she is so proud of herself! I know I have said this a thousand times, but where has the time gone?

Suns vs. Cavs

Marcus bought some tickets for $10 a piece off ebay an hour before the game started. We called our friends, the Moores, to join us because they are Suns fans as well! We were able to find a last minute sitter for Lyza and we were on our way. It was so fun to go into the city and be in the fun atmosphere of the game. The fans here are crazy, so we cheered on the Suns in a more discrete way. They ended up loosing, but we had fun going anyway. Toward the end of the game a camera man came by and put a close up of Cyndal on the big screen for like 10 seconds! When we were walking to the car so many people pointed and said "Look there is that baby that was on the jumbo tron". Looks like we have a celebrity in the making!

Walk

We went on a nice walk today. Can you believe the snow has melted and it was 50 degrees outside! We definitely took advantage because a big storm is coming tomorrow. Lyza and I sang songs and Cyndal rode in her stroller not making one peep. I loved watching her study everything as we walked by. I was trying to take a picture of Lyza and I only got one semi decent one of her laughing because she thought it was funny to make silly faces in the other photos. She is so fun!

Rice Cereal & Curlers

Tonight we tried some new things. Cyndal had rice cereal for the first time and hated it! I don't remember Lyza hating it this much, maybe we will go straight to baby food. Then after bath time Lyza tried curlers. She is such a girly girl, and loved every second. She always is so willing and sits so still to do anything girly. She even sits well to paint her finger nails, then walks around so carefully until they dry.

Monday zoo day!

We have missed our Monday zoo days. Since it has been a little more bearable outside we decided to go meet some of our friends, and we loved every moment. Lyza, and I'm pretty sure Cyndal too, both have developed a love for animals. I can remember as a small child I loved it when my dad would take us to the pet and reptile stores. I could look for hours, and the same goes for today. I love to take the girls to the pet store and they enjoy it just as much as I do. The zoo is just as fun or even more! I cant wait for the spring so we can go every week!

A couple days ago I was doing a friends hair while our hubby's were watching the kids. We heard some commotion upstairs and came to find out her little boy bit Cyndal. She was sleeping in her car seat when it happened. We all felt just horrible, just looking at her made your heart sink. Her cheek was a bleeding, blue goose egg! Part of me wishes I would have taken a pic earlier, but it is something I dont really want to remember. Now a few days later, it looks a whole lot better. I am glad babies heal quick!

Marcus' Birthday

Marcus turned 27 this year. He didn't want to make a big deal of it so we kept it pretty low key. I woke up and made him a huge breakfast and Lyza assisted in the opening of the presents. Since he always figures out his gifts, sometimes even before I purchase them, he received some early. Can you tell I am still a little annoyed? We had some friends over for Marcus' favorite bbq boneless wings with carrots and celery and then some homemade ice cream cake. I am so thankful for my hubby, and am sooo glad he was born this day. Happy birthday honey.

Best Day Ever!!!

Today it was so warm! Its weird to say a 40 degree day is warm, but compared to what it has been it is! Anyway, Marcus skipped out on school to enjoy the day with us. We all bundled up to go play in the snow! We went sledding, made snow angels, had a snow ball fight, and Lyza even made yellow snow! Haha! We had a blast, and I know I will remember this day for a long time. We deserved a day like this after being couped up in the house for so long.! Lyza was skeptical at first, but she soon warmed up to the idea and started enjoying herself. Marcus and I felt like a kid again, I would have never thought being grown up would be this much fun! I loved seeing Lyza smile and bonding with her dad, little Cyndal seemed to enjoy being outside too! She just looked so darn cute in her cozy bunny outfit. It was so gratifying to have a day to bond, laugh and have fun!

What We Like The Most!

Lately it has been so cold, so we have to be creative inside. Lyza has fun doing just about anything, but she loves when we play toys with her. Cyndal is soo good! She just watches all of us and smiles away, but her favorite thing is bath time. She is so fun to watch with her huge smile as she kicks and splashes. Well for me, I always like to have some sort of crafty thing to do. Lately I have been sewing a quilt. Lyza loves to help! Obsession

Lyza has a MAJOR obsession with chap stick and lip gloss! She always has one in her hand or pocket, and if she doesn't she is on the hunt or asking for one! If we even think about taking it away, brace yourself! This is the one thing that will cause a huge meltdown that will last a LONG time. So needless to say I pick my battles!

I wish it was popcorn on the apricot tree! Um... Ya! Cold as can be! It was -15 today with a wind chill of -30! You could throw a cup of water in the air and it would freeze! Pretty crazy for us being from Arizona. We have been in weather up to 121 degrees in the summers, and we could even fry an egg on the sidewalk. Two huge extremes! I am learning to love it here though. Even though its cold it is beautiful! Whenever we go anywhere Marcus and I will look for the biggest icicle we can find! Its crazy how big they can get!

Little Swimmer

We started Lyza in swim lessons, and she has been doing really good. The teacher says she is a "loud learner". She doesn't love being splashed or going under, so she cries during those parts, but she still holds her breath and reaches for the wall. So I guess its her way of dealing with it, but I am glad she is still learning and doing well. Lyza comes home and sings all the songs we learn at swim lessons. Like "fishes in the ocean, fishes in the sea, we all jump in on one, two, three!" Then she pretends to jump in. She also always sings "Motor boat, Motor boat, under we go!" She even pretends things in the bath. So I think she secretly likes them more than she lets on!

Girl Time

One thing I love to do is cuddle with my girls. Its my favorite! I am lucky they like it too! Whenever Lyza is tired or cranky she will ask us to cuddle her, and every once in a while she will put her hand under her arm pit like she used to when she was a baby. I think she will always be my baby even though she is a full grown toddler.

Play Date

Lyza had a friend over today. I think I had as much fun as they did. We stayed in our pj's, built forts, ate popcorn, watched disney movies, made lunch and cup cakes! It totally took me back to when I was a kid. Memories like this were my favorite, so I hope Lyza will remember how much fun we had today!

Snow, snow and more snow!

We have had so much snow the past week! Lyza insisted on going out to play in it on several occasions. Needless to say, they never lasted very long. Too cold, but she sure did look cute! My favorite thing is to sing the mouth open wide song with her, and we try to catch the snow flakes in our mouth. Lyza is so fun at this age, always smiling and using that imagination of hers. When she thinks it is time to go in, she will say " Mommy, I think the frost bite is gonna get my fingers and my nose."

Arizona Vacation

We went to Arizona for the Christmas break. I was especially grateful for this, because I was able to see my Grandpa before he passed away. We were able to attend his services, and see lots of family. This experience was so hard for me. I haven't ever lost a close family member, and it tore me to pieces. The only thing that kept me together was my knowledge of the Gospel. Knowing that because of the Saviors atoning sacrifice, and the plan of salvation we can and will be together again. I am so grateful for this knowledge, and I don't know what I would do without it in my life.

During the break we did so many things, I hope I can remember all of them. It was a special trip for so many reasons, one because most of our family hadn't met Cyndal yet. So it was neat to show her off. Marcus also had another eye surgery. He had the ICL done in July, and they made the holes a little too big. So he had to get them stitched up. This was no fun for him because they forgot to tell him not to eat. So he wasn't able to get all the meds. he needed. We are relieved that the surgery is over and hope that his eyes heal as expected.

Over the week of Christmas we had so many family parties. One at Marcus' Uncle Danny's. This one was the whole White side (Marcus' Moms). There we had a talent show and dinner, also scripture reading with the kids dressing up for the nativity. This year Lyza was a shepard and Cyndal was baby Jesus. Lyza was so excited for this and talked about it all day, but when the time came she cried because everyone was looking at her.

We also had a family party at my Aunt Lisa's house. We had a dinner and had a white elephant exchange. We have had this every year since I can remember, so it was nice to keep tradition. I won the cook book Deceptively Delicious, and I cant wait to try it out! After we read scriptures and sang Christmas songs. It was nice to see my dads side of the family, because we rarely get together. We even had a family bbq at my dads before we left. We played card games and had some good laughs.

My sister also had a Christmas dinner at her house. Her in-laws cooked most of the food, and it was so fun to try some of their traditional foods. Like the celery with cheese in it, the gravy with hard boiled eggs, and the stuffing with corn bread mix. Those things were the most foreign to me, but to my surprise I really enjoyed it!

Christmas morning we woke up at Marcus' Moms. We exchanged gifts and spent time together. As I have gotten older, I really enjoy watching the little ones the most. We then went to Marcus' Grandma Whites house. Every year she makes waffles and the most amazing tangerine slush. Before we leave she hands out handmade knitted dish cloths to all the married grandchildren. (my fav thing!) We then ventured to my Moms house to exchange gifts and spend some time. After that we went to my Dads for the same thing. We had such a great day full of family and traditions. Christmas just wouldn't be the same without all of this.

After the holiday we went to the Yetter cabin in Pine Top/ Lakeside Marcus and I were able to go boarding together, thanks to his parents for watching the kids! During the vacation we even got to see some friends and go horseback riding with grandma Wendy! Our trip to Az was so jam packed I still don't know if I covered everything.

Santa Came Early To Ohio!

This morning Santa came to our house! He knew we would be going to Arizona tomorrow so he brought Lyza a play kitchen! She was so excited last night. She went right to bed without any fussing! She woke right up this morning ready to run down stairs. I am horrible and didn't take any pictures of the action, but I have it all on camera. When I figure out how to post it I will. It was probably the best Christmas I have ever had! I love seeing her so happy!

Santa

We were fortunate enough to have my friend Lara Ellingson take Christmas Santa pictures again this year.Lyza was thankfully so excited and not scared of Santa, and Cyndal was really good as well! Lyza just sat and loved Santa, I didn't think she would ever want to get down. He asked her what she wanted for Christmas and she said, "A play kitchen!" A couple days ago we went to Target for fun, because we had been couped up too long. We went through probably every one of the isles to pass some time. Lyza found a play kitchen there that she sat and played with forever! When we went down other isles she would say."Oh! Dinners ready!" Then she would run back and play again. Since we saw Santa, Lyza hasn't stopped talking about how he is going to bring her a play kitchen. It has been an exciting thing to have her be so into Christmas this year. I think it is even better being a parent, because I am so excited that she is so excited.

Binki Fairy

Lyza just loves her binki! Well, so do we... It is so nice to just plug it in when she is being cranky, and she instantly goes to sleep! Well we limited the binki strictly to bed when she turned 1 and I told myself it was GONE when she turned 2. Well we all couldn't part with it when the time came, and I have been thinking of it since.... We went to a friends house for the afternoon and when we came home and got ready for bed I told Lyza we left her binki at her friends house. We didn't really, I just wanted to know what it would be like if we got rid of it... She was totally fine! No crying at all! She just insisted we pick it up in the morning. She didnt forget the next morning, but ended up finding one later that day. So Lyza and I gathered all the binkis and put them in a box, wrapped it all pretty, and I explained that the "Binki Fairy" needed more binki's to take to new babies and in return she would leave a nice present! Lyza was so into it, and it worked like a charm! She has asked for them on and off, but I remind her of where they are, and she is fine. I wish I would have known it would have worked out this well, I would have done it sooner!

Thanksgiving

We asked Lyza what she was thankful for and she said. "Jesus". How dang cute! I'm not sure where that came from, I wish I could take full credit. We then asked her what else she was thankful for and she said ," Jesus! And..... Um.... Food!" She is such a sweet little girl! We went to a friends house this year for Thanksgiving. The food was amazing, and we had a really good time! I still think it is weird to be away from family on holidays but we had a good substitute.

Both Lyza and Cyndal love bath time. I had them both in at the same time and took Cyndal out first. When I was dressing Cyndal, I heard Lyza screaming, "Ahh! Dont eat me, dont eat me!" When I came back in I found Lyza with all the sharks, whales and dolphins on her fingers. She said to me in a high pitched squeal, "Mommy they ate all my fingers!" She is at such a fun age, always using that imagination!

Of a really old family heirloom! My Great Grandmother Hazel Peterson was given this stool by her sister in the 1940's during World War 2 just after the great depression. It served not only as a stool but as a bedside table in her home. Later my Grandma Daisy used it in her home, I remember it being under the piano for a number of years. My sister and I spent countless hours spinning each other on it. I am so excited that it will now be used in my home! I have found the perfect place for it beneath the sewing machine my grandmother gave to me before we moved here to Ohio. We were almost done packing the U-haul, and here came Grandpa Gerald carrying a table with Grandma a few steps behind. I was so excited because I knew exactly what it was... They stood and watched and redirected Marcus as he found a safe spot for it! I had joked with my grandma a while back that if she needed to find a new home for the stool I would gladly take it...My mom just recently made a trip out here and brought the stool with her. Grandma had become very ill a couple moths ago and has moved in with my mom, so they are slowly cleaning out my grandmas house.. Very depressing, but I am overjoyed that the stool has found its way to us! It will be truly treasured for lots more years to come.

First Shots....

Cyndal had her first shots ever today... I know... You are probably thinking, "She is 10 weeks old?" I am a paranoid freak and dont give my kids shots right away. I took Lyza in for her infuenza shot today and decided to start Cyndal's as well. I have to say I was tearing up watching her be so willing to lay on the table, while giving me a big smile, not knowing what was to come. I dont remember Lyza's first shots being so bad. Cyndal freaked out but calmed down rather fast. The worst part has been several hours later! She had her first real tears and everything. She must be feeling really bad... I want to cry for her. I hate to feel so helpless, I wish I could be hurting for her.

Amish Country

It was nice to have company in town over the weekend and on Monday we took Grandma Wendy and Garrett down south to Amish country. After a long drive we finally arrived at the Der Dutchman restaurant. The food was delicious, especially the chicken! Grandma Wendy bought some incredible dutch apple and chocolate cream pies we enjoyed later that evening. We loved the scenery, and it was fun seeing the different way of life of the Amish. We had some good laughs playing Cranium and Mad Gab in the evenings, and a good morning of fishing before they had to go back home to Arizona. Lyza has especially loved having all the family in town and was disappointed when they all left. We will be looking forward to seeing them all again over the Christmas holiday.

Cyndal's Blessing Day

I had one of the most beautiful Sundays today. I am sure I will remember it and cherish the memories made for years to come. Cyndal received her baby blessing and it was such a wonderful yet emotional time for me. I felt so many emotions running through my body, literally like fire in my chest, but peace in my heart. Crazy I know, but it was so amazing. I felt so peaceful, yet filled with so much happiness, I could have burst out of my own body. As I sat and listened to Marcus bless Cyndal I felt every moment I have ever sacrificed getting my girls here come rushing back to me. Then all of a sudden a realization that it was worth EVERY single one of those moments to get to this beautiful place in my life! I felt my Father in Heaven's love for me and my family more than I have ever felt before. I am so grateful to Him for entrusting me with His beautiful children to raise here on this earth. To have come to this point in my life to have a such a loving husband and father for my two little angels means so much to me.
We were so fortunate enough to have Grandpa Richard, Grandma Wendy, and Garret in town from Az. to attend Cyndal's big day. Not to mention some of our closest friends we have made here, were able to come as well. It was such a special day and I thank everyone that was a part of it.

Fun with Grandpa

Saturday, the day after Halloween, we all took a walk down to a nearby park to play on the playground. Grandpa and Lyza sure had a fun time on the swings. Grandpa was trying to teach her how to pump her legs to go higher. After the park we went down to the river to enjoy the nice scenery of the fall colors and to fish with Grandpa Richard. On the way we spotted 4 bucks and a doe on the side of the road. We stopped and had fun taking some pictures. As usual the fishing was slow (we only caught this tiny wierd fish called a gout?) but Lyza sure had a fun time fishing with grandpa and her new barbie fishing pole! After a while they both wandered off and ended back at a swing set for the second time of the day, and then Marcus got busted for fishing off the dock.. Pretty funny, I must say, watching him talk his way outta that one. We sure enjoyed having Grandpa Richard in town!

Halloween

This year was so fun to go trick-or-treating with Lyza and Cyndal! I am sure every year will get even better. Lyza was a "Witch, a good witch". And Cyndal was a little bunny. We had Grandpa Richard here from Az, so he was able to join in on the fun. Lyza was so cute, the first house was our neighbor and landlord Kim. Lyza said "trick-or-treat", and Kim gave her a candy. Well Lyza put it in her bag and looked back up at her and said... "Lyza wants another one candy." So Kim laughed and gave her another. Lyza put that one in her bag, and looked back up again with a huge grin and said "Lyza wants lots of candy!" We both were laughing so hard! Smart kid, she caught on fast. Why go to all of the houses when you can just go to one? Right? For the rest of the night she went to each house and was a good sport to take "just one candy". We had so much fun, and it was so nice to have Grandpa Richard here! At the end of the night Lyza and Grandpa Richard dumped out all the candy and took inventory and made sure they were all good to go.. Thats always the best part seeing all the candy you got from a hard nights work.

We got together with a couple of our friends (the Liljenquist's) to carve pumpkins for Hallow's Eve. We had so much fun carving and then eating baked pumpkin seeds. Lyza wasn't to grossed out pulling the goo-lash innards out, and she even helped carve with daddy. I never realized that most of the time it is the adults doing the carving and having more fun! I guess too that little ones have short attention spans so Lyza came and went, but she enjoyed herself. Little Cyndal just hung out on the bean bag chair, she is such a good baby! She hardly ever cries, and is such a good sport to go along with whatever is going on.

Family Tradition

Every year the Yetter family gets together to decorate Halloween cookies. Of course this has become one of our traditions here in Ohio. Lyza had fun using the cookie cutters, it took a bit of teaching because she kept cutting over the already cut... Everyone knows the most fun is decorating! Lyza of course ate more decorations than went on her cookies, and Marcus felt the need to decorate a ghost in Micah's behalf. Micah is in Portugal serving a mission, so he didnt get to decorate this year. Every year Micah decorates an exposed ghost and tries to sneak it into the rest of the cookies. I guess Marcus was missing the yearly Micah tradition....

Basketball! He was invited to gather a team and play on a tournament that the dental school was putting on. It was good to see him enjoying himself after a long test week. He played great, and so did his fellow podiatry team mates... So we are not sure if they will be invited back next year, because they won the whole thing! We all had a really good time, but as usual there is usually something bad with every good... Marcus hurt his foot! The pictures were taken 3 days after the injury, so believe it or not it was worse than the pictures show...

Zoo!

Monday is free zoo day here in Cleveland. The sun was shining so we jumped at the chance. Lyza loves seeing the animals and we were a little late getting there this time... Needless to say she was upset she wasn't able to see the lions and the elephants... They were eating inside. Big bummer! But she did get to sport the new hat mom made for her =) and of course Cyndal had a matching one on... She was strapped to me so.... No pics! Ahhh... I will make sure to get some next time! The leaves have all changed and it is just breathtaking... We are gonna try and take some pics this week before they all fall.

I am just so happy that Lyza and Cyndal have each other. Even though Cyndal doesn't do much right now, Lyza just loves her. She even has been sharing her toys... I will find toys in Cyndals crib, bouncer, and I even found Cyndal cuddling Lyza's mickey mouse. I am so happy Lyza has been so accepting and loving. I worried she would be mean and jealous, but quite the opposite! She always wants to cuddle, rock, and sing songs to "baby findle". I know they will grow up and have good memories together, and they will always have each other! I am blessed to have a sister close in age to me, as I see my girls together I just smile. To know the friendship that will just keep growing makes me homesick for my big sis...

Day At The Park

Lyza really wanted to go to the park the past couple days. Today was decent outside so we took a walk, and had an awesome afternoon. Since I had Cyndal in the baby bjorn, I didnt get to take any pics of her... She was there, enjoying the outdoors. We had a good time singing songs, playing, and swinging. Lyza insisted on finding a way on the swing "all by myself" It was a classic moment of try, try, try again!

We went fishing again! We are on our quest to see if the steelhead trout have started making runs up stream.... Marcus loves fishing even if there isn't a catch... Lyza has picked up this love! She loves hangin' out with dad and she likes holding the fishing pole. When dad looks the other way she dips the end in the water. Its really funny because she knows he doesn't want her to, but she cant resist. She tells us she is just feeding the fishies a snack. I wonder what she will do when we really catch one? We enjoy having dad home Saturdays, especially because it is easier to get out of the house and spend time together as a family!

I cant believe that a month has already passed since we had our little Cyndal. I must say that she has brought us so much joy! Although she doesn't do much of anything right now we melt at every sound and every face she makes. Lyza has been such a good little helper.... Retrieving and throwing away diapers and she also loves to help "burp da air bubbles out her tummy". I just love my girls! They bring so many smiles and so much happiness to me. There isn't a day that goes by, no matter how difficult, that I dont thank my Father in Heaven for these precious girls.

The past weekend Marcus' mom came to visit. While she was here she convinced us to leave the house, and I am glad we did! We spent time at the metro parks walking, fishing, and even a picnic. Here are some pics...

Sorry we didn't post baby sisters name. We had a busy day yesterday. Deciding on her name wasn't an easy task. We felt we had two great names to choose from, but it took a while to see which fit the best. Drum roll please........... And her name is.......... CYNDAL MARIE YETTER!!! Here are some going home pics. We were greeted by an eager crowd and beautiful decorations. We couldn't be more thankful for Jacquelyn (Jamie's sister) for coming out and taking good care of Lyza, the dogs, and the house. We don't know what we would have done without her!

Well we official took our first new family pictures today! We had been waiting for a chance to get a full family picture in the hospital and the Borer's came to visit and took a few pictures for us! Lyza continues to crack me up with how happy she is to have and hold her baby sister. As we narrowed down the name list for the baby to a couple, we asked Lyza what the baby's name should be and she kept insisting it be "baby sister"! So we've decided that the baby's name will be...Baby Sister!!! Ok so tomorrow we'll have the name all picked out, because that's when we come home from the hospital! Oh and its so cute how "baby sister" makes the tiniest squeaky noises so randomly throughout the day! Anyhow, mom and baby are doing great and I, mostly just I, am looking forward to coming home tomorrow!!

Well tonight is officially my first blog post ever! Yes this is Marcus doing the update as Jamie is wiped out as one would expect. So after arriving at the hospital at 5:30 AM, Jamie finally gave birth to our new 8lb 3oz 19 1/4 in. long baby girl at 5:05 PM!! It was a long day filled with anticipation, frustration, excitement and relief! We are so excited to have a new addition to our growing family. Jacquelyn is in town helping out with Lyza, and soon after the birth came to the hospital and Lyza got to finally meet her "Baby Sister" (as she would put it). I have to say she was a little nervous at first, but that quickly changed as she was begging to hold her little apprentice. Lyza was also so cute as she expressed her concern about her mommy, asking if she had "owies"! So all together its been one great day for us, a memory that will be cherished forever! PS: We haven't quite given her a name yet, we are still trying to get to know her and hopefully tomorrow our narrowed list will be down to one.

Two Days Away

I cant believe that we will be meeting our baby girl in less than 48 hours! It still seems so surreal, time is a funny thing... You think it is never going to pass, then before you know it it has. I am filled with so many different emotions its hard to know what to feel. I know my grandma would tell me to stop thinking and feel the moment, and I know she is too right. The moments pass too fast, and you cant relive them. So I am trying to relish every moment to come and to be, and stop thinking too much...
Marcus took the day off the other day and we did just that... Enjoyed every second! We went to the beach and spent time together as a family. I had the best time clearing my head of thinking and just feeling. I couldn't help but notice all the love and happiness Lyza brings to us, and I cant wait to bring another little one into this world!

Baby Update

We had an ultrasound done to see if the baby is showing any complications of the bowel. Lyza was born with a bowel duplication cyst that had to be removed, so we were just taking precautions. Well good news there! The doctor didnt see anything out of the normal, although I am sure we will be checking again when she is born. I have to say I was a little surprised when the doctor estimated the baby to be 6 1/2 pounds! AHHHH! Now this could be off by a half pound either way, but she is a big girl considering she still has 5 weeks left to grow! Good thing I am being induced 2 weeks early (the 29th)! Our doctor also took a few 3-D pictures for us. We were so excited to get these, we weren't able to have these done for Lyza..

What a day we had! We started it out with going to the Parma Parade. Lyza loved the horses and candy the most!

Then we had friends over for a bbq. Let me say delicious! We all had a great time visiting, playing catch phrase, and then we let the little ones light some sparklers. So fun!

Later that evening we went down by the Lake to watch fireworks. I was nervous how Lyza would be with all the noise... She was great last year, but I didnt think she would remember. She loved them! Although, in the middle of the show I am sure you can guess what happened! Potty break!!! Poor Marcus ran her and missed some of the show, but it was actually a really long good display. So it turned out okay. I think my favorite part was being able to buy sparklers and fireworks. I was like a little kid when I first found them at the store! So exciting!!!

"Glow Bugs"

Lyza, Marcus and I have loved to go out at night and watch the glow bugs this summer. Its even more fun to catch them and listen to Lyza ohh and awwh and then gasp when she finds one herself. It is so fun to catch a bunch and watch Lyza sit and stare at the container, and then see her let them go and say bye to every one of them. We have spent hours together as a family on our little bug expeditions, I am so grateful for little moments like this that bring a smile to my face and so much joy to my heart.

Yes I had a birthday... One more year and I am able to rent a car and not have to pay an under age fee.. Yea! Hahaha. I am still trying to think of benefits to getting older. I may run out soon! First thing in the morning a couple of us preggo girls went out and had a really yummy, very large, breakfast at Cracker Barrel. I dont know about them, but I came home and took a nap! Then later, Marcus was sooo sweet to have made reservations at my favorite Japaneese restaurant Shinto's, (because he hates it), and invite some of our friends along.... He was a big sport! After, we all came home and enjoyed my favorite... Angel food cake, strawberies, homemade whipped cream, and vanilla ice cream! I couldnt have asked for more! Best day ever!

What We Have Been Up To!!!

Well the past 3 days I feel like I have seen tooo much of this!!!

Lyza and I went to the store and picked out big girl panties! Headed home and set a timer for every 45 min. and sat on the potty.. Well the first day we went through 5 pairs of panties. The next day was accident free! Today... Three accidents.. Bummer, but I feel like she is doing so great! She sleeps and wakes up dry, and tells us when she needs to go to the "toto". I am grateful she is willing to learn without any resistance. We have been rewarding her with little treats every time she sits on the potty, but there are the false alarms.... That I know is because she just wanted a candy. She is so funny! She has got it all figured out, and she even tries to talk us into giving her two. Haha! She has been a trooper, but I think I have seen too much of the john lately! Between the two of us peeing all the time I am quite sick of the bathroom! I keep reminding myself it could be worse.... I could be in Japan with one of these for a toilet!

Flag Football Champs

Marcus' school put together a flag football tournament to raise money for... Something....? Well anyway, Marcus and some friends were able to choose a team and participate. It was so fun to go and watch him have fun for once! Poor guy is always so wrapped up in school and studying. Well wouldn't you know, they won! It is so fun seeing all of them (not just Marcus) have such a competitive spirit, and little Lyza cheering so proudly for her daddy from the side lines! Good job honey!

Niagra Falls

Marcus had a week break after his spring semester and his summer school. We decided to drive up to Niagra Falls for the day with some friends of ours. It only took us 3.5 hours! It was so beautiful! We walked along the board walk and there were beds of huge tulips that Lyza was especially mesmorized by.

We also went on the Maid of the Mist boat ride, and it was so awesome! Definately a must, from above and below there are two way different views. Ya, they look big from above, but you dont really understand until you are below. You almost had to yell at each other because the noise was comparable to thunder, and they give you rain coats to keep you dry because even from a distance it was like it was raining.

One thing I never knew is that there are 2 seperate falls... One is a little bigger and horse shoe shaped!The expiriance was definately one to remember. We even had lunch in a burger joint that overlooked the falls. Breathtaking!

Lyza Had A Birthday!

Shout hooray! I cant believe that Lyza is 2! It is crazy to me how fast she has grown and changed these past years. I caught myself staring at her the other day and thinking... "Wow! Where did my baby go? She is a little person now!" She is the sweetest little girl, but her favorite thing to tell me is "No way mommy". She says it with the biggest grin, just waiting to see what I will say in return. She is so smart too! She knows her ABC's, can count to 11, and has picked up a love for animals. She can tell you just about what any animal is. She loves to go the zoo and the pet store, if I tell her we are gonna go she asks about it all day long until we get there. I am so blessed to be her Mom, I couldn't imagine life without her. Her smile is so contagious, her Grandpa White says it perfectly.. "She smiles with her whole face, even her eyes smile at you!" She has been the happiest baby, everyone notices and comments on how well behaved and happy she is all the time. I know I have little to do with this, she came to me this way, and I truly think I am the luckiest person on this planet to be her Mom. Happy Birthday Lyza!

Spur of the Moment!

I had a good friend of mine call me thursday and invite me to stay with her and another friend of mine in California. Her parents have a beach house in Orange County she was staying at for the weekend. On top of that amazing invitation she also had free Disney land passes! I needed to make a trip sometime out to the west coast to pick up a car we had bought, so no better time than now.... I packed my bags after the indians game, slept 3 hours, and jumped on a plane with Lyza. We arrived to Orange County after 8 hours of traveling and went straight to the beach to spend the afternoon. It was an amazing day and couldn't have been better! I enjoyed the warmth of the sun, the smell of the ocean, the sound of the waves and the sea gulls, and the look on Lyza's face. I could tell she was just as excited to be there as I was.

The rest of the weekend we enjoyed spending time together eating, shopping, and hanging out. Monday we went to Disney Land! The happiest place on earth. We had such a great time there. Lyza was so funny, she wanted so bad to see the characters. When we went up close she freaked out, and when we were walking away she would cry for them. It was pretty funny though. It was such a fun day watching her face light up. To me, there is nothing better in this world than to see her so happy. We had such a fun trip to California, and we are so grateful for Jenny to have invited us. It was a much needed vacation after the long winter, and even better time with the girls. There is nothing like having good friends.

Indians Game

Marcus and I were able to go to the Indians game with some other students. It was the first date night Marcus and I have had ,without Lyza, since we have moved here. Some friends of ours (the Borers) offered to watch her for us. It was so nice to have a night out with my hubby! Its one of those things you don't realize you were missing until you do it. You know? Although I did feel extremely naked without little Lyza, almost as if I didn't know what to do without her! Weird huh! We had a really great time!
